  2. As-salaamu ‘alaykum akhee,

Do you know of any sites, mostly salafi related, where I can learn more about the different Qira’at of the Qur’aan and how they differ from each other; for example, the warsh recitation has a dot under the letter “f” instead of above it.

Also, is it permissible to recite in one of these different qira’at during salaah?

    Jazak Allaah

    • Wa Alaikum as Salaam Akhee,

I don’t know if there are any sites in english which actually talk about the methods of recitation within the different Qira’aat. There are some sites which talk about it, but not in detail and they are not Salafee sites. InshaAllaah I’ll see what information I can get and perhaps ask one of the brothers in Makkah if he can recommend a book, then I’ll see if it can be put online at http://www.athaar.org

As for it being permissible, yes it is permissible to recite in a specific Qiraa’ah from the Qira’aat. There is no restriction to recite only in Hafs.

  3. Asalamu Alaykum, there’s alot of benecfial material on your blog but unfortunately I am unable to browse it because of the background colour. I hope you consider changing it.
